In a constantly evolving world like that of design, Superstudio has envisioned a new format for the 2026 Milan Design Week. A project that renews Superstudio’s cultural commitment and its way of showcasing the creativity of Milan and the world, while conveying its timeless values: quality, internationality, and design vision.
Superstudio x 3
Three venues, each with its own curatorial direction, offering a unique experience and special inspirations: 30.000 m² entirely dedicated to design and art; three times the space used in the past.
At Superstudio Più, the iconic venue for Design, the major international players return with their monumental installations and a curatorial project by Superstudio. The goal? To leave visitors in awe, aim high, and explore the new frontiers of design.
Superstudio Maxi becomes a multidisciplinary landscape where design, art, and architecture intertwine to create new meeting grounds and pathways; a tribute to experimentation in all its forms, celebrating the fusion of diverse arts and cultures.
The big news for 2026 is the opening of Superstudio Village, located in the Bovisa district. And what better venue to showcase emerging talents, research projects, and young designers? With a fresh and open-minded approach, this space aims to meet the needs of its most direct audience — young people — with extended hours and plenty of areas for social interaction.
Places and people connected
To ensure the best possible experience Superstudio’s registration system will be upgraded: access to all venues will be enabled through a single QR code. This will greatly streamline the registration and entry process.
To efficiently connect Tortona, Barona, and Bovisa a dedicated transportation network is currently being planned with the aim is to allow easy movement between the three venues.. This network also seeks to involve other Design Week players active in the same districts as Superstudio.
A tradition evolving
A story that began in 2000, when Gisella Borioli and Flavio Lucchini transformed a disused factory into a cultural hub that would give rise to one of Milan’s most vibrant neighborhoods: the Tortona Design District. The 2026 project fits into this legacy of over twenty years and, through the proposal of innovative formats, continues the experience and heritage of a place capable of anticipating trends, returning to do so in areas of the city still largely unexplored during Design Week.
Quality and partners as key to continuity
Some cornerstones remain unchanged: project selection must be based on quality and vision; only in this way is it possible to remain a global point of reference during Design Week.
The collaboration with ICFF – International Contemporary Furniture Fair - and WANTED in New York: is being strengthened, further solidifying the bond between Milan and the world’s design capitals. Now, after two successful years with the joint talk format, the partnership between Superstudio and ICFF is evolving, with the goal of involving international design schools. The ambition is to transform one of the venues into a hub for the most exciting and forward-thinking design academies..
For 2026, Superstudio is drawing a new map and becoming the spokesperson for a renewed concept of event. A fresh way to experience and shape the Milano Design Week.
